This year, a total of 4,233,537 vehicles were recalled in various brands in mainland China.

Among them, GM (including Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, etc.), Volkswagen (including Audi, Skoda, etc.) and Honda (including Acura) have the top three recalls. At the end of the year, Chevrolet and Buick’s recall announcement issued by Shanghai GM raised the number of GM brand recalls to the top.

A large number of dual-clutch transmissions accounted for 30% of the total recall this year.

From the release of the recall information, the public released (including Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley) 14 most, and most of the recalls are related to Volkswagen's dual clutch gearbox.

The largest number of single-vehicle recalls were SAIC-GM Buick Excelle, Honda CR-V, and Chevrolet New Sail, which were 1,218,163, 408,069 and 243,297, respectively. The Buick Excelle and the Chevrolet New Sail are recalled because of the hidden dangers of the fuel pump, while the Honda CR-V was recalled because of the safety hazard of the front shock absorber piston rod. Among them, the Buick Excelle recall involved the largest production date range, that is, the model produced from 2006 to 2012. At the same time, GM recalled more than 1.3 million vehicles this year, accounting for 30% of the total number of car recalls this year.

The Southeast Lingyue V3 recalled 171,093 vehicles due to the hand brake line problem, plus the previously recalled 6,335 vehicles, becoming the only independent brand to enter the top ten recalls this year.

Ford Maverick and Southeast Lingyue V3 recall delayed the longest

Changan Ford Maverick and Southeast Lingyue V3 are the only two models that will delay the recall time by more than two months due to the large number of recalls and spare parts supply problems. The announcement shows that the start recall time for both models is after February 2014.

Judging from the recall announcement issued by the AQSIQ, the main problems of the recall are concentrated in the engine, suspension/brake system, transmission system and electronic appliances. These defects are likely to cause large personal injury and property damage.

All recalls must be released through the official website and public media, and the manufacturer must notify the owner by phone, email, etc. Therefore, the owner needs to register a real and effective contact information with the car dealer or manufacturer. If you find a recall of the relevant model but have not received the manufacturer's notice, you can contact the manufacturer and local distributor to find out if your vehicle is within the recall.
