Titanium Ball Valve is a commonly used valve type used to control fluid flow. It is made of titanium alloy material and has excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and lightweight properties, making it widely used in various industrial fields. The main feature of titanium alloy ball valves is that there is a hole inside the ball, which controls the flow of fluid by rotating the ball. When the ball is aligned with the valve body hole, fluid can pass through, and when the ball rotates to disconnect the hole from the valve body, the fluid is blocked. This design enables titanium alloy ball valves to have advantages such as fast switching, reliable sealing, and low fluid resistance.
Titanium alloy ball valves are widely used in fields such as chemical engineering, petroleum and natural gas, marine engineering, and aerospace. Due to the corrosion resistance of titanium alloy, titanium alloy ball valves can withstand harsh environments such as acidity, alkalinity, high temperature, and high pressure. In addition, titanium alloy ball valves have shown advantages in special applications such as seawater treatment, marine exploration, and deep-sea mining.
The design and specifications of titanium alloy ball valves are diverse to meet the requirements of different fluids and working conditions. Its size range ranges from small pipeline connections to large industrial equipment. In addition, titanium alloy ball valves can also be customized according to specific application requirements to adapt to various process requirements and environmental conditions.
Overall, titanium alloy ball valves are widely used in the industrial field due to their excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and lightweight characteristics. They play an important role in fluid control and process regulation, ensuring the reliability and safety of the system.
The Beijing Olympic Games are fast approaching, and Yanshan Petrochemical Company, located in the capital city, feels a strong sense of responsibility. On one hand, the Green Olympics initiative and the "Blue Sky Project" have raised the bar for vehicle fuel quality. On the other hand, the expansion of infrastructure demands high-quality basic materials, and petrochemical synthetic materials offer unique advantages in this regard. To meet these challenges, Yanshan Petrochemical has embraced technological innovation, continuously developing clean, high-performance products, and striving to build a world-class petrochemical new material industrial park.
One of the company’s main focuses is improving fuel quality. The "Blue Sky Project" launched by Beijing aimed to implement Euro IV emission standards for gasoline and diesel in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou by 2008. As a major supplier of automotive fuel in Beijing, Yanshan closely follows global trends in fuel cleanliness, enhancing R&D efforts and targeting advanced international specifications. The company has introduced several new fuels, including detergent gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas for vehicles, and ethanol gasoline for testing. It also provided high-quality aviation kerosene, 98# gasoline, and Euro II standard fuel to the Beijing market.
In 2005, despite rising crude oil prices, Yanshan fully implemented its fuel cleanup process. By May 2005, it had produced diesel that met Euro III emissions for Beijing’s second-phase local standards. In June, it delivered gasoline that also met Euro III requirements, more than a month ahead of schedule. By the end of 2005, Yanshan had produced 1,352,600 tons of Euro III-compliant gasoline and diesel. Currently, the company is working on a 10 million tons per year refining system upgrade, expected to be completed by the end of 2006, allowing it to supply Euro IV-standard fuels to Beijing.
In terms of synthetic resin development, Yanshan is China's largest producer, with many technologies and product lines reaching global standards. It produces block copolymer polypropylene, hollow HDPE, and plastic pipe materials like PPB, PP-R, and PE80-grade HDPE, which are used in water supply systems and meet international standards. The company also developed PS670 polystyrene fiber, successfully tested in April 2005. Recently, Yanshan launched a new high-pressure polyethylene plant, producing highly transparent resins ideal for agricultural films, boosting profitability and risk resistance.
For the synthetic rubber market, Yanshan currently produces seven series of products, including butadiene rubber, butyl rubber, SBS, and more, with an annual capacity exceeding 260,000 tons. It has become a leading base for synthetic rubber production and R&D in China. The company continues to focus on stable production and improved yields of key products like styrene-butadiene rubber and low-cis polybutadiene rubber. In 2005, it overcame technical challenges in butyl rubber post-processing, achieving a production rate of 39,000 tons per year. It also developed a new SBS grade for asphalt modification, meeting international performance standards.
To meet future demand, Yanshan is expanding into halogenated butyl rubber and EPDM rubber. While introducing butyl rubber technology, it also brought in halogenated butyl rubber production, setting up dedicated facilities. The project is currently in the early stages, with plans to complete it during the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan†period.
