The Elk Grove Village Fire Department has recently acquired a brand-new Pierce Velocity 100-foot rear-mount tower ladder from Pierce. This model comes equipped with a pump and water tank, marking the first time in many years that the department has added such a unit to its fleet. The new apparatus is set to enhance the department's ability to respond to high-rise fires and other aerial emergencies. Here are some of the department’s previous aerial trucks:

In addition to the new tower ladder, the department is planning to acquire a small squad vehicle that will be stationed at Station 7 alongside the new apparatus. This new unit will function as a jump company, specifically designed to handle EMS calls more efficiently. The decision reflects the department's ongoing efforts to improve response times and service quality across the community.
