On Sunday afternoon at 4:45 PM, I followed Engine 65 and Truck 52 down Archer Avenue to a working fire at 36th and Rockwell. The crews knocked the fire down from the back and then entered to finish the job. It looked like the fire was limited to the back porches and was mostly under control within minutes. Engine 65 was using the spare rig, while Engine 39 brought a second line through the front door. It was clear that the firefighters were working efficiently, and the situation didn’t escalate much. The area was already being cleaned up when I arrived.
