On Sunday afternoon at 4:45 PM, July 31st, I followed Engine 65 and Truck 52 down Archer Avenue to a working fire at 36th and Rockwell. The crews quickly knocked the fire down from the back door and then entered the building to finish the job. It looked like the fire was limited to the back porches and was mostly under control within minutes. Engine 65 was using the spare rig, while Engine 39 deployed a second line through the front door. It was clear the crew was handling the situation efficiently, and everything seemed to be under control pretty quickly.
