Three methods for detecting fault arc detectors
The fault arc detector monitors and alarms the fault arc or electrical equipment faults caused by fire, personal electric shock, system fault, L/N line to ground, L to N lines, etc. caused by the low voltage distribution system (400V). A fault arc generates an electric spark that directly ignites an object and then creates a fire. The following describes the three detection methods for the fault arc detector :
1, through the current detection
The simplest way to detect an arc in a fault arc detector is to judge the current amplitude and the slope of the current waveform when the arc occurs. However, this kind of judgment based on the time domain only has a certain degree of limitations, which may result in mistakes in judgment.
2. Detection through frequency domain analysis signals
Analyzing and judging the signal of the current heart voltage through the frequency domain angle, this analysis method is simpler and more convenient than the time domain analysis, and it is more intuitive on the physical performance. The judgment of the fault arc will also be more accurate. However, if the frequency of the signal and the frequency of the sampling are not the same, there will be spectral leakage and the effect of the barrier, so that the calculated results will lose accuracy, thus affecting the detection of the arc.
3, detection through wavelet changes
Wavelet transforms can also produce good local variations for both the time domain and the frequency domain. And there is good adaptability to the signal. So that most of the signals can be extracted from the original data. This method mainly uses the analysis of the current signal of the fault arc in the wavelet transform. It can not only reflect the sudden change in the current signal, but also the size of the mutation. Through the research and analysis of these information, the accuracy of the arc can be further increased.
