It is reported that the footprint of the new Intelli PET drying system is only 55% to 60% of the same wheeled PET drying system, and its energy consumption is 40% to 50% lower than that of the conventional double-dehumidifying bed drying system. The system adopts automatic temperature and speed control device, which can automatically adjust according to the change of the drying amount, moisture content and material temperature, so as to ensure that the temperature of the resin when leaving the hopper outlet is constant and the consistency of the product is ensured, without intervention of the operator.
Key components of the Intelli PET system include: a dehumidification wheel dryer similar to the Mage Nova dryer, a two-zone drying hopper, an electric heater or a gas heater with up to 90% of heat, a cyclone Separator, an optional self-cleaning "pulse" dust collector. In contrast, similar wheeled PET dryers have one more drying circuit centered on the hot air dryer, two cyclones, two dust collectors (requires regular updating of the dustbags), and Two low-efficiency gas heaters.
The Intelli PET drying system is highly efficient and simple in structure. One of the key factors is the recycling of heat from the return air from the hopper back to the dryer. The air enters the blower after being filtered in the dryer. After passing through the blower, it is divided into two channels and approaches the same airflow. An air stream is cooled and passed through a dehumidification wheel and reheated before entering the lower part of the hopper. The other air stream maintains its original high temperature and requires little reheating before entering the upper part of the hopper, thus reducing energy consumption.
Intelli PET dryers use color touch screens for control and also reduce energy consumption. The control system can track the temperature readings and airflow speeds of 11 well-placed thermocouple sensors and automatically optimize them without manual intervention.
