Autodesk University 2022 kicked off in New Orleans on September 27, 2022, marking the return of the company’s premier annual event after two years of digital engagement. This year’s in-person conference runs through September 29 and brings together thousands of professionals from architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), product design and manufacturing (D&M), and media and entertainment (M&E). Attendees will gain insights into how leading organizations are leveraging digital tools to overcome challenges like supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, and distributed teams.
“Digital transformation is no longer optional—it’s essential,†said Andrew Anagnost, President and CEO of Autodesk. “By connecting people, processes, and technology, we empower our customers to achieve better outcomes and drive innovation.â€
This year’s event features a range of sessions, workshops, and presentations led by industry leaders, including representatives from the City of New Orleans, Harvard Business School, Amazon Studios, and more. Attendees will also get a first look at three new industry clouds: Autodesk Forma, Autodesk Flow, and Autodesk Fusion. These cloud-based platforms aim to streamline workflows and improve collaboration across industries.
Autodesk Forma is designed for AEC professionals, integrating BIM workflows to support planning and early-stage design. Autodesk Flow targets M&E, offering asset management solutions to enhance production efficiency. Autodesk Fusion focuses on D&M, connecting data and teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
“We’re building a connected ecosystem that empowers creators at every stage of the project,†said Raji Arasu, CTO of Autodesk. “With our industry clouds, users will have access to the right data, on the right device, at the right time.â€
Underlying these platforms is Autodesk Platform Services, which provides APIs and services to help customers customize workflows and integrate third-party tools. The platform supports a more flexible and scalable approach to digital transformation.
In addition to in-person events in New Orleans, AU 2022 offers live online sessions, product demos, and over 450 classes led by experts. Attendees can also access free learning resources year-round, including case studies, professional development content, and industry insights.
Autodesk continues to lead the way in helping businesses innovate and adapt. With its growing suite of cloud-based tools, the company is empowering creators and engineers to push the boundaries of what’s possible. For more information about Autodesk University 2022, visit the official website.
