The Automotive and Consumer Electronics Industry Association (GENIVIAlliance) recently announced that Bosch, Tata Consultancy Services and TomTom have recently joined the Association and become its core members. Bosch Automotive Multimedia provides integrated intelligent solutions for in-vehicle infotainment, navigation, communications and driver assistance. Tata Consultancy Services is part of the Tata Group, an IT services, business solutions and outsourcing services company. TomTom is a global leader in navigation service solutions. The GENIVI Alliance is a non-profit industry association whose mission is to promote the widespread adoption of an open source development platform for IVI. GENIVI will achieve its purpose by connecting requirements, implementing reference projects, providing certification programs, and fostering a vibrant open source IVI community. GENIVI's work can shorten product development cycles, accelerate time-to-market, and reduce the cost of developing IVI equipment and software companies. GENIVI is headquartered in San Ramon, California.
