The Zhuhai Yuchai low-speed high-power (marine) diesel engine manufacturing project invested by Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group settled in the Fushan Industrial Park in August 2009, and the foundation was laid in early December of that year. With a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan, the project is the largest investment project by Yuchai Machinery Group outside its ABP. The first phase of the project will have a total investment of 1.04 billion yuan, covering an area of ​​500 mu and a capacity of 1.2 million hp/118 units. At present, the project has been listed as a key project in the “Twelve Five-Year Plan” of Guangdong Province for “adjusting the structure and ensuring growth”, and is included in the list of key projects in Guangdong Province in 2010.

Huang Zhenping said that according to the current progress of the project, the engine assembly can be carried out in August 2011, and the trial run in October. The first marine diesel engine will be delivered on schedule in November.
