At Autodesk University this year, one of the standout announcements was the integration of UNIFI Pro’s advanced content management features into Autodesk Docs. This upcoming release will bring these capabilities to any user with access to Autodesk Docs, rebranding the combined offering as Autodesk Content Catalog. Amy Bunszel, Executive Vice President of AEC Design, unveiled this exciting development during the mainstage session.
For those already using Autodesk Docs—whether through the AEC Collection or Autodesk Build—you'll gain access to UNIFI Pro's robust features without any extra charge. The push for enhanced BIM content management has been on our agenda for some time, so why is this happening now? The answer lies in our efforts to break down data silos and make granular information more accessible across projects and within your organization.
Currently, digital content is often created project by project, leading to fragmented files scattered across various tools and teams. With Content Catalog, these assets can be managed, organized, and shared seamlessly across platforms like Revit, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, and Rhino. This means faster searches, easier loading, and greater flexibility in accessing BIM content anytime, anywhere.
In addition to Content Catalog, we've also introduced the AEC Data Model API Public Beta. This tool empowers users to extract detailed data such as elements, parameters, and their values directly from models. Together, these innovations mark a critical step forward in creating an open, adaptable data platform that connects AECO teams wherever they choose to work.
Our goal is clear: to enable smoother data exchange among different tools, processes, and individuals. To achieve this, data must be structured, interoperable, and readily available from the outset. By incorporating Content Catalog into Autodesk Docs, we're taking concrete steps toward realizing that vision.
If you'd like to stay ahead of the curve and join firms like Arcadis, HOK, HDR, and Walgreens in exploring Content Catalog, sign up for our "First Look" waitlist. You'll receive exclusive updates and be among the first to experience the transformative power of connected data in AECO workflows.
Remember, better data isn't just about quantity—it's about quality, accessibility, and usability. At Autodesk, we're committed to helping you unlock the full potential of your data so you can focus on what truly matters—innovating and building the future.
