With the official operation of the parallel imported car business in Shanghai in February this year, the legal status of parallel imported cars has gradually become clear. Parallel imported cars enriched the market, making the price of the entire imported car market more transparent and competition more benign. The introduction of the “Three Guarantees” insurance has supplemented the shortcomings of parallel imported cars and increased their competitiveness with regular imported cars.
To this end, it is suggested that the market access mechanism for automobile import, sales and maintenance should be gradually liberalized. At the same time, the market supervision mechanism should be more stringent to protect consumers' rights and interests; the monitoring and analysis of parallel imports of automobiles should be strengthened, and various policy effects should be evaluated in a timely manner. Optimize and improve control policies and measures in a timely manner; automobile manufacturers should grasp the double-edged sword of localization of imported automobiles, and make pre-judgment in terms of products, brands and marketing strategies.
