The 3G triple screw pump is mainly composed of a bush (pump cylinder) fixed in the pump body, and an active screw inserted in the pump cylinder and two driven screws meshed therewith. Three intermeshing screws are formed in the pump cylinder as a sealed chamber for each lead, resulting in a seal between the suction and discharge ports. When the pump is working, because the two driven screws and the driving screw are symmetrically engaged with each other, the radial force acting on the driving screw is completely balanced, and the driving screw does not bear the bending load. The radial force exerted by the driven screw is supported by the cylinder liner along its entire length. Therefore, there is no need to provide a separate bearing at the outer end, and substantially no bending load. During operation, a layer of oil film is formed between the outer surface of the screw and the inner wall of the pump cylinder to prevent direct contact between the metal and greatly reduce the wear of the screw tooth surface. When the screw pump works, the suction pressure of the liquid acts on both ends, so that an axial thrust is generated on the screw. For small pumps with a differential pressure of less than 10 kgf/cm2, thrust bearings can be used. In addition, high-pressure oil is introduced into the bottom of each screw shaft sleeve through the central oil hole of the drive screw, thereby producing a balanced thrust at the lower end of the screw opposite to the axial thrust force. The screw pump, like other positive displacement pumps, when the outlet of the pump is completely closed, the pressure in the pump rises to the point of causing damage to the pump or overloading the motor. Therefore, at the suction and discharge port of the pump, a safety valve must be provided.
